MetoKote
Sumter has two square transfer electrocoating
(e-coat) systems, one complete powder coating
system, and
one liquid paint monorail system. All the
systems are designed for high volume production
coating. Small components to large parts receive
superior pretreatment and the latest in corrosion
resistant coating.
Electrocoating
The
e-coat lines have both immersion tanks and
spray chambers for cleaning and pretreatment.
The large e-coat tanks contain 16,000 gallons
of the latest version of e-coat material.
Powder
Coating
The
powder coat lines have large paint windows
and the capability to turn parts quickly.
The powder spraying is completed in environmentally
controlled rooms so that the powder remains
constant and contaminant free.
Liquid
Coating
The
Sumter liquid coating system features twin
paint booths with 18" by 90" paint
windows. Low temperature liquid spray paints
are currently being used in Sumter’s
liquid coating system.
Substrate
Coating Flexibility
MetoKote
constantly researches and evaluates new coating
materials, techniques and substrates. At Sumter,
the systems are designed to process weldments,
assemblies and stampings made of steel, cast
iron or aluminum.
