MetoKote Maumee has two large electrocoating systems, three powder coating
systems and one liquid paint monorail system,
all designed for high volume production coating.
From small components to large parts, all
products that are coated at MetoKote receive
superior pretreatment and the latest in corrosion
resistant coating. All parts are cleaned
and then pre-treated with zinc phosphate
and a non-chrome seal, providing a superior
substrate for coating adhesion and corrosion
resistance.
Electrocoating
The two e-coat lines at MetoKote
Maumee offer both immersion tanks and
spray chambers for
cleaning and pretreatment. The general purpose monorail e-coat line offers a part window of 36"W x 72"H x 72"L and the special indexing monorail line offers in-line shot-blasting as well as the ability to process heavy parts with a load capacity of up to 1,500lbs per load bar.
Powder
Coating
The three powder coat lines have a large 6' by 6' part window that utilizes low gloss black polyester, a grey anti-chip powder primer/surfacer or a low gloss, black textured powder.
Liquid
Paint
The Maumee liquid paint
system features a paint booth with a 3’ by 6’ part
window as well as twin ovens. The system
utilizes a Fanuc P-100 Robot and the Paint
Tool 100 program. High temperature liquid
spray paints are used in Maumee’s liquid
coating system.
Substrate
Coating Flexibility
MetoKote constantly researches and evaluates
new coating materials, techniques and substrates.
At Maumee, the systems are designed to process
weldments, assemblies, sheet-metal stampings
made of substrates including steel, cast
iron, aluminum, galvanized and galvannealed
metal.
Logistics
Seventeen dock doors provide efficient
trucking and product logistics for unfinished
and finished goods. Computerized inventory
tracking simplifies and upgrades shipping
tasks.
Environmental
The state-of-the-art wastewater treatment
system assures the plant of compliance with
environmental regulations.
Process
